“Dynamic Duo” to Lead World Trade Centre Winnipeg Board

Diane Gray and David Angus elected as Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors

WINNIPEG – September 22, 2016 – The World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg) is pleased to announce the election of Diane Gray and David Angus as Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors. The election took place at WTC Winnipeg’s AGM on September 19.

In an unprecedented move, the members elected two co-chairs instead of one. Diane Gray and David Angus replace Raymond Lafond, Chair of the Board since its inception.

Diane Gray is the founding President and CEO of CentrePort Canada Inc. and previously served as Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Federal-Provincial and International Relations and Deputy Minister of Trade for the Government of Manitoba.

David Angus played a pivotal role in acquiring the WTC licence for Winnipeg in his former role as President and CEO of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. He is now Vice-President of Chamber Affairs for the Johnston Group.

“I’m very enthusiastic about the powerhouse team that was elected on Monday,” Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO of WTC Winnipeg said. “The WTC Winnipeg is in expert hands as Diane and David both embody the vision of WTC Winnipeg; believe in the economic significance of growing trade in Manitoba; and have proven business leadership expertise. We established a solid organization under the leadership of our outgoing chair Raymond Lafond and look forward to growing and strengthening it further with our new dynamic duo.”
