This workshop is designed for entrepreneurs who are new to business and would appreciate having a better understanding of how GST works. This seminar will address concerns on the premise of “what they don’t know could hurt them”.
Attendee will learn the following:
1. Define taxable product and service as well as what’s exempt and zero rated (and what this means)
2. Different methods of calculating the GST including the Quick and Simplified methods
3. Tips and traps related to GST
Paul is a Manager in the Assurance department, focusing on Reviews and Audits of financial statements, is a member of the US tax team, and has extensive experience in matters concerning personal & corporate Canadian income taxation. He has been in public practice for 3 years after transitioning from industry, where he worked for a number of publicly traded companies spanning 7 years. Paul holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University and his CPA, CGA designation.
