Are you ready to buy and sell your goods or services outside of Canada? Tapping into international markets can open up opportunities for a business to grow its sales. This seminar will guide you in the right direction to start importing or exporting to reach new customers. At the end of the session, you will have gained knowledge on which basic steps to take to start selling your product to a customer in a different country, as well as importing products into the Canadian market.
Attendee will learn the following:
1. Identifying key players
2. Determining the required documents and permits
3. Leave with a checklist of key steps to start importing/exporting
Éric Courcelles is the Director of Strategy for the WTC Winnipeg. He has over 10 years of experience in the field of internationalization, as well as extensive work experience with small businesses in Canada and abroad. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business from HEC Montréal.
Johana Gutierrez joined the WTC Winnipeg in 2017. Her main role within the Trade Services team is to assist companies looking to expand their business internationally. She has experience in ensuring companies participating in Canada’s Trade Accelerator Program become export-ready through market research and the development of a solid export plan. She holds a B.A. in International Studies from the Université de Saint-Boniface. Johana is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
