Import/Export: Going Global

Presenter: Éric Courcelles et Johana Gutierrez, WTC Winnipeg

International markets offer many opportunities for growth outside of Manitoba, whether it be from an importing or an exporting perspective. This seminar will provide participants with key elements to consider before engaging with those markets, as well as information on who to contact to gain additional assistance and expertise.

Attendee will learn the following:

1. Benefits of global trade
2. What to consider before importing and exporting
3. Overview of the key steps of importing/exporting
4. Identifying available resources

Éric Courcelles is the Director of Strategy for the WTC Winnipeg. He has over 10 years of experience in the field of internationalization, as well as extensive work experience with small businesses in Canada and abroad. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business from HEC Montréal.

Johana Gutierrez joined the WTC Winnipeg in 2017. Her main role within the Trade Services team is to assist companies looking to expand their business internationally. She has experience in ensuring companies participating in Canada’s Trade Accelerator Program become export-ready through market research and the development of a solid export plan. She holds a B.A. in International Studies from the Université de Saint-Boniface. Johana is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
