Indigenous Procurement

Are you an Indigenous business owner? Did you know that since 1996, the Government of Canada (GOC) has awarded more than 100,000 contracts with a total value of $3.3 billion to Indigenous businesses? The GOC is committed to helping Indigenous businesses compete for more government contracts. Will the GOC be your next customer?

NOTE: Please feel free to bring a snack or brown bag lunch to make the most of this session.

Attendee will learn the following:

1. Find out whether the Government of Canada buys your good or service
2. Understand how the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Businesses (PSAB) can help your business compete
3. Watch a live demonstration of how to search for specific opportunities

Kris Ruiter works for the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME) in Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). OSME advocates on behalf of SMEs and encourages their participation in federal government procurement. OSME assists SMEs in better understanding how the government buys goods and services and raises awareness of opportunities to sell to the Government of Canada.
