Interactive Business-to-Government (B2G) Workshop

An interactive workshop where Procurement Specialists with Public Services and Procurement Canada and Defence Construction Canada will search active tender notices on the buyandsell.gc.ca website specific to your business. When registering, choose ONLY 1 breakout room of the sector that applies to your business (construction, services, products). A different procurement specialist will be facilitating each breakout room during the event.

Learning Outcomes:
1. How to search for opportunities based on commodity codes or key words
2. Key points of a tender document
3. Other tools on the federal government tender site that will help your business

La Vona Parker is a Procurement Specialist with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Canada and has extensive experience in government procurement and contracting. LaVona has been with the public service for 20 years and is passionate and dedicated to her role in serving Canadians.

Kris Ruiter is the Chief, Stakeholder Engagement, Office of Small & Medium Enterprises (OSME) of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). In his career, he has held a variety of positions within procurement for over 10 years and is part of the OSME team located in Calgary, Alberta.

Mark Smith is a Procurement Specialist with Defence Construction Canada. Mark has been with Defence Construction Canada for 11 years and has been in the contracting unit for the last 5 years. He is well versed in government contracting.
