Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and non-profits alone. Therefore, creating a purpose driven enterprise can allow your business to focus its core values, creating profits while empowering and bettering the surrounding community. This webinar will centre around creating an understanding purpose driven enterprise through the B Corp community. As B Corps use profits and growth to a greater end: this webinar will discuss the positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.

Andrew is a designer, studio founder, artist and educator. He manages Manoverboard, a purpose-driven studio in Winnipeg with the mission of creating a better world by design. Manoverboard is a Certified B Corporation — the first in Manitoba. Andrew also teaches design, theory and visual research methods at the School of Art at the University of Manitoba. His research interests include design history, the history of religion and philosophy of mind. He has an active drawing practice. Andrew previously worked at The Rockefeller Foundation in New York City. He holds a BA from Brown and a MFA from SUNY Albany and received Fulbright and NYFA fellowships.
Brendan Reimer is Assiniboine Credit Union’s Strategic Partner, Values-Based Banking. Brendan also currently provides leadership as the co-chair of the Canadian Credit Union Association’s Community Impact Committee, and volunteers as a board member with both SEED Winnipeg and the Manitoba Real Estate Foundation Shelter Foundation. Previous roles included Prairies Regional Director at the Canadian CED Network, member of the Social Enterprise Council of Canada, board member at LITE, member of ACU’s Board of Directors, and small business owner in rural Manitoba. Brendan is a passionate educator and organizer dedicated to creating inclusive, fairer, and more sustainable economies and communities and has worked effectively with academia, governments, private sector, and community organizations in advancing that vision.
