Panel: Selling to Government

This 3-part knowledge building cluster is part of a collaborative effort of the three levels of government. Combining informative presentations with interactive components will ensure that you are provided with a strong foundation in public procurement.

Catherine Green is the Procurement Coordinator for the City of Winnipeg. Catherine has been actively promoting and demonstrating the value of strategic procurement within the organizations for which she’s worked for over 30 years. She has developed and provides training for staff and contractors in the creation of competitive bid solicitation documents and in Contract Administration. She has also been the Materials Management representative for numerous major acquisitions.

Diane Ramsay is a Contract Specialist with Manitoba Finance, Procurement Services Branch. She has 12 years experience in the purchasing industry including the private sector, non-profit and the Federal and Provincial government. Diane has developed and provided training workshops for Manitoba Sustainable Development. She also has a strong business background working in all areas of finance over the last 25 years. She has a Certificate in Accounting from the University of Manitoba and obtained her 5th Level in the Certified Management Accounting Program (CMA).

La Vona Parker is a procurement specialist with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises with the Government of Canada. With 18 years experience in the public sector, she has a wealth of experience she is excited to share.

Alexander Jeglic was named Procurement Ombudsman in April 2018. He is a lawyer by background and most recently served as General Counsel for Private-Public Partnerships Canada Inc., a federal Crown Corporation, where he was involved in the procurement processes for large infrastructure projects.
