Women Procurement
June 20, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
FreePresenter: La Vona Parker
Are you a woman who owns or runs a business? Have you considered the Government of Canada (GOC) as a potential customer? The GOC purchases over $20 billion of goods and services each year, ranging from catering services to automotive fleets. Unfortunately, women owned and led businesses are under-represented among government suppliers. By understanding your potential to sell to the GOC, we can change that – because when women succeed, everyone succeeds.
Attendees will learn the following:
1. Find out whether the Government of Canada buys your good or service
2. Learn how to register as a supplier
3. Watch a live demonstration of how to search for specific opportunities
La Vona Parker is with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME) in Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). OSME advocates on behalf of SMEs and encourages their participation in federal government procurement. OSME assists SMEs in better understanding how the government buys goods and services and raises awareness of opportunities to sell to the Government of Canada.
