Diane Gray is the founding President and CEO of CentrePort Canada Inc. CentrePort is Canada’s first tri-modal inland port and Foreign Trade Zone and encompasses 20,000 acres (8,000 hectares) in the North West quadrant of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Ms. Gray previously served as Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Federal-Provincial and International Relations, and Deputy Minister of Trade for the Government of Manitoba.

She currently serves on several boards, most notably: Biomedical Commercialization Canada; the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (Manitoba Division); the Canada West Foundation and the Associates of the Asper School of Business.

Ms. Gray is a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s and University of Winnipeg’s Joint Masters of Public Administration Program and has an undergraduate degree in political studies from the University of Manitoba.

In 1999, David Angus was hired as the current president and CEO of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. Under his leadership, The Chamber has increased its membership to the highest level in its history (more than 2,050 corporate members) and has been recognized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce as an Accredited Chamber with Distinction.

Mr. Angus has participated and served on many boards and global organizations such as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the American Chambers of Commerce Executives; Premiers Economic Advisory Council and many more. At a recent meeting for the Commission of Environmental Cooperation of North America (CEC) he was elected as Chair for 2013, for the Joint Public Advisory Council for CEC.

In October 2012 David Angus was recognized by his peers and received the Executive of the Year award at a Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada conference.

Ms. Freynet-Gagné is often asked to provide educational and language-based consulting services to federal and provincial agencies, educational associations, publishers, school divisions, a variety of teaching institutions as well as private companies.

She has also served as board chair of ANIM, Manitoba’s bilingual trade agency, since 2012. She has a B.A. in Translation and a B.Ed. from Université de Saint-Boniface and has been a certified translator for close to 15 years.

Phyllis Laing, President of Buffalo Gal Pictures, established the company in 1994, using her keen sense of business, creative vision and knowledge of the film industry to steadily drive the company to become an industry leader.

Ms. Laing’s experience in the industry includes over 60 credits in feature film and television. Her recent credits include Aloft (2014) nominated for the Golden Bear Award in Berlin. All the Wrong Reasons (2013), which won the Grolsch Filmworks New Discovery Award and the Canadian Screen Award nominated feature-film Mad Ship (2012); and Guy Maddin’s most recent work, Genie Award nominated Keyhole (2011).

On the TV side, Ms. Laing executive produced the celebrated Canadian TV series Less Than Kind for its complete run of four seasons. The series received 17 Canadian Screen Awards nominations.  She served as Executive Producer on the four seasons of Cashing In for APTN and for the upcoming sketch comedy series, Sunnyside, for CityTV.  She’s also at the helm for The Pinkertons, a 22 x 60 minute drama series.

Her goal is to ensure Manrex achieves its mission of helping health care providers save lives by eliminating medication errors. Manrex Ltd. is proud to be celebrating 40 years of excellence and innovation.

Ms. Webster-Mourant currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the Intelligent Hospital Systems Inc., which produces the Robotic IV Automation (RIVA). This device is used by hospital pharmacies to automatically and accurately prepare IV syringes and bags.

She is also the recipient of the Manitoba Woman Entrepreneur of the Year-Overall Excellence and International Trade awards.

Mr. El Tassi started in the shipping department of Peerless Garments Ltd. shortly after his arrival in Canada in 1969. As of June 2006, he has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Peerless Garments LP, which is a garment manufacturer and importer carrying two main businesses: leather and cold weather garments.

Mr. El Tassi has helped and sponsored as many as 50 immigrants to Canada, including refugees from war-torn countries such as Vietnam and the Middle East. In November 2012, he was presented with the “2012 Gold Heart Humanitarian of the Year” award from Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba.

Mr. Granger has held a number of senior executive roles in his career, has worked extensively in international markets and has been part of core leadership and implementation teams for a number of acquisition and integration projects in North America and Europe. Mr. Granger is currently the President of his consulting firm Global Compass Ltd, focused on organizational transformation.

Mr. Granger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Revans University, a Certificate in Management from the University of Manitoba and is a graduate of the Senior Executive and Advanced Finance Programs at London Business School.

In his role Mr. Legary provides mentorship for startups and has helped secure seed financing and investment while building strong relationships with industry partners and government to create new programs that support innovation. He is the recipient of CBC Manitoba’s Future 40 award which recognizes the province’s top leaders, builders and change-makers under 40.

Over a decade of service to Winnipeg’s business community, Loren has transformed the Chamber’s policy, government and community relations programs, as well as spearheading the creation and implementation of a redefining strategic plan. He orchestrated the development and launch of Manitoba BOLD and BOLD Winnipeg – grassroots public policy campaigns mobilizing the community behind a compelling vision of our province and city.

He currently sits on the board of the World Trade Centre Winnipeg, the Chambers of Commerce Insurance Corporation of Canada, and the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada. He has served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg and Island Lakes Residents Group. Loren holds a Master of Arts (Political Studies) from the University of Manitoba and a Certificate in Public Participation from the International Association for Public Participation.
