Manitoba’s Francophone community at the heart of the World Trade Centre Winnipeg’s activities

WINNIPEG – September 23, 2016 – The World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg) is pleased to announce the election of Carole Freynet-Gagné as Vice-President of its Board of Directors. The Board unanimously elected Ms. Freynet-Gagné to her new position at the AGM held on September 19.

Ms. Freynet-Gagné has sat on the Board since its inception 2013, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the ANIM (Agence national et international du Manitoba). Marc Labossière will be taking over as the ANIM Board Chair.

“I am delighted with Carole’s election. As a business person with roots in the Franco-Manitoban community, she has an excellent understanding of the issues. As Vice-President, she will also sit on the Executive Committee with our new Co-Chairs, Diane Gray and David Angus,” said Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO of the WTC Winnipeg.

“Diane and David were appointed by our members to fill the vacancy left by outgoing Chair, Raymond Lafond. That’s no easy feat, as we were spoiled with his impressive leadership!  Raymond was a key pillar in the creation of the WTC Winnipeg and helped normalize bilingualism throughout our organization. With his vision and dedication, he broadened the mandate of the ANIM to that of the WTC Winnipeg and brought added value to the Franco-Manitoban business community.”
