Strength of a Network: WTC Winnipeg & WTC Trieste

The World Trade Centers Association network has once again shown its strength in reciprocity. The WTC Winnipeg and the WTC Trieste have most recently collaborated to connect a Canadian company to the Italian market.
SkiptheDishes is Canada’s leading – and North America’s fastest-growing – food delivery company. Headquartered in Winnipeg and with more than 1500 employees, Skip makes great food more accessible through advanced seamless technology. The company is now serving millions of orders a month in 95 North American cities, with more than 10,000 restaurant partners.
Most recently, Skip set its eyes on Italy to make connections for talent acquisition. That’s where the WTC network has come into play.
“When we reached out to the WTC Trieste, we were excited by how quickly and efficiently they responded,” explains Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO of the WTC Winnipeg. “That’s why this network is so strong. We trusted that the WTC Trieste would reciprocate and contact the client immediately – and they delivered.”
Both WTC organizations worked together to organize and promote a recruitment event in Rome (Italy) on May 11 and 12. Over 150 Italian candidates interested in working for their company applied for the opportunity to work in Canada, which may be considered as a great place to kick-off a professional career.

Thanks to the WTC Trieste’s network of local contacts with Italian universities, key professors and other associations and agencies focused on retail industries in Italy, it has been possible to deliver on an important level of exposure to the recruitment event.
