As part of FITTSkills for Manitoba Powered by World Trade Centre Winnipeg, in the Products and Services for a Global Market course, you’ll learn how to adapt and conform your products and services to differences in regulatory, legal, cultural and consumer/client requirements in international markets. Analyzing how these differences may impact the cost, product design, packaging, labeling, product testing, and service delivery, and then developing strategies around these custom aspects, is key to your long-term success in any international target market.
Course Modules

Turn your latest idea into a hit new product with an effective production process, clear distribution strategy and detailed set of legal requirements.

Expand your market share in the fastest growing segment of global trade by tailoring new or existing services to meet customers’ needs and preferences.

What You’ll Learn
  • Establish a competitive advantage with the best design options for adapting products and an effective plan to implement good development and testing processes

  • Maximize output and minimize costs and risks by developing products for the international market based on customer specifications and regulations

  • Build a strong local reputation by meeting customers’ cultural needs and abiding by all legal and regulatory requirements

  • Stand out from the crowd by developing well-defined and/or customized service offerings

  • Keep your customers happy by addressing the specific needs of your target markets

Session Dates

Four sessions, each from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

  • Session 1 – Saturday, April 5th
  • Session 2 – Saturday, April 12th
  • Session 3 – Saturday, April 26th
  • Session 4 – Saturday, May 3rd
Course Tuition

CAD $600.00 + GST

Matilda van Aggelen is a Market and Trade Specialist at Cereals Canada. Matilda previously held the position of Market Research Specialist at the World Trade Centre Winnipeg, supporting Manitoba exporters with tailored market intelligence. She holds a Certified International Trade Professional designation from the Forum for International Trade Training, a Project Management Diploma from the University of Winnipeg, and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
