Learn the minimum rights and responsibilities you have as a Manitoba employer or employee with this overview on Manitoba’s employment standards legislation.
We will explore the Employment Standards Code, including commonly asked questions such as: Who is covered under this legislation? What is minimum wage? And how is overtime calculated? As well as, general holidays, vacation, and ending employment.

Michelle has worked as a Bilingual Intake Officer for over a year. Prior to joining the Employment Standards Branch, Michelle spent 17 years working in healthcare, with her most recent positions being in quality assurance and regulatory affairs and lab supervision. In these roles, Michelle developed strong communication, problem-solving and investigative skills. Further, Michelle has completed Lean Six Sigma and Green Belt training and has completed a Certificate in HR Management. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and learning new things.
