Ashley Tegart is a Procurement Outreach Specialist with Procurement Assistance Canada in Edmonton, AB, where she provides advice and coaching to businesses related to their bidding journey with Federal tender opportunities.

Prior to her role at Procurement Assistance Canada, she was also a Procurement Specialist, although her primary role was focusing on providing policy advice to other Federal Procurement Specialists on the use and application of Indigenous remediation policies, including contracting within a Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (CLCA) region, and the application of Procurement Strategies for Indigenous Businesses (PSIB) in the Western Region.
She has also worked for the Department of National Defence (DND) as an Operations Manager for Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC). She led a team of Defence Supply Chain professionals, committed to maintaining the Defence Supply Chain operations across the Western Region and the North by serving Wings and Bases from Montreal to Esquimalt.

Ashley also served as a Regular Force member with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), where she enrolled in the military at the age of 18 in the field of logistics. She worked an extensive career in the CAF, focused on all aspects of the logistics and Defence Supply Chain, from procurement to asset divestment. While working at DND, she was also engaged in a number of modernization initiatives aimed at enhancing the life cycle and asset management of Defence Supply Chain materials and equipment. She also completed a leadership series at the Royal Military College of Canada, under the Officer Professional Military Education program.

Ashley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Athabasca University, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration specializing in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University. She has a family of 6, with a supportive partner in the Agronomy industry and 4 amazing children (ages ranging from 15-3) who all share an insatiable passion for outdoor sports.
