Todd is the founder and CEO of Cypher Environmental Ltd – a Winnipeg based firm that manufactures and distributes its cleantech solutions in over 50 countries worldwide, which was recently recognized as a Clean50 Top Project honouree for their Cypher Green Roads Initiative. He’s a passionate business leader focused on the creation of solutions that facilitate positive change in Canada and abroad, and enjoys mentoring others following in his footsteps. With a steadfast dedication to culture, ESG related core values represent the pillars of his foundation.

Through his work with Cypher, Todd understands the nuances required to create adoption of cleantech and how to leverage his business development, marketing and strategic problem-solving skill sets and experience to develop strong export strategies. Todd has recently acted as an advisor in Minster Ng’s Global Cleantech Advisory Group, was on the selection panel for the Global Hypergrowth project and is a member of the Business Council of Manitoba.

Mick Lautt is a graduate of University of Manitoba’s Recreation Management and Community Development program. With a focus on leadership and wellness, he has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others through multiple community and business initiatives.

After co-founding an adventure based learning company working with youth and staff teams, he recognized the alarming drop out rates among indigenous teens in Winnipeg and co-founded an organization called the Choices Youth Program. While running his first business and teaching at the University, Mick started a whitewater kayaking school, and spent his evenings with the Choices Youth Program running customized and targeted intervention programs for ten years. This effort positively impacted the lives of over one thousand young people in Manitoba.

Mick then created Taiga Consulting to help companies solve their human resource and organizational structural issues. Mick led Taiga from a kitchen table start-up, to a nationally recognized consultancy providing director level guidance to a roster of over 100 blue chip clients including Boeing, The Investors Group, and Parks Canada.

As Co-Founder and CEO of Scimar Mick is focused on building a company that can address the global epidemic of type 2 diabetes. In that role, he provides leadership to both branches of the company: the science team in the lab and those conducting clinical trials; and the business development unit focused on growing the company’s value.

In leading these diverse and dynamic teams, Mick calls upon his extensive experience as an entrepreneur, business development consultant, and leadership development specialist. His approach to business is characterized by his passion for individual and community well-being, sound decision-making, and creativity. He aims to bring out excellence in others.

In his spare time, you’ll likely find Mick in a boat or on a bike. A lifelong adventure athlete, he holds whitewater kayaking instructor training programs. Mick also serves as a volunteer Board Director of the Dauphin Derailleurs Cycle Club and President of the Parkland Paddling Club, both of which he co-founded.
