Picture of David Koss

David Koss

Hunter Wire

David Koss began working at Hunter Wire, his family’s Winnipeg-based steel wire fabrication company, as a young teenager. Assigned tasks in his early career involved grounds and building clean-up, gradually progressing to machinery operator, shipper/receiver, and supervisory and management positions. David earned a Certificate in Management from the University of Manitoba in 2013, and has been President of Hunter Wire since 2017.

In addition to formal business training and years of experience in every aspect of the business, David values the knowledge gained from working with his grandfather Jacob Wiebe (an incurable entrepreneur and inventor who passed away in 2010), and his father Richard Koss (who still works at the business in an advisory capacity). Working with employees at Hunter Wire and connecting with other Manitoba based business owners and entrepreneurs are also invaluable sources of wisdom and inspiration.
